What is CCIFSA

The Cultural and Creative Industries Federation of South Africa (CCIFSA) is the controlling body set up with the assistance of the Department of Arts and Culture  for cultural and creative sectors in South Africa. It was formed as a non-profit company (NPC) to promote and develop the social and economic interests of the cultural and creative industries and to act as the controlling body for these sectors. The company is governed by a Board of Directors in accordance with the CCIFSA Memorandum of Incorporation.


CCISFA has the following broad objectives in terms of the Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI).

The Way Forward

With a firm commitment from government and strong support in the form of legislature and policy, CCISFA is positioned favourably to positively impact the creative industries in South Africa. Through the establishment of a powerful, cohesive governing body, the creative and cultural industries are now on a firm footing that will ensure it can contribute more meaningfully to the economic and social advancement of this country. CCISFA encourages all South Africans to support the organisation in its mission to empower the industry that plays the greatest role in defining and expressing the identity of the people and the nation.
